Salary: $125,000 - 150,000 - DOE
Description:
- Manage an effective safety team by hiring results-oriented employees including:
- communicating performance expectations
- monitoring / evaluating performance
- determining training needs
- providing coaching
- approving leaves
- recommending compensation
- dealing with disciplinary issues
- Anticipate project safety needs and assist Safety Managers, Superintendents / Project Managers with required safety training.
- Create, monitor and sustain a scalable safety organization structure
- Accountable for driving and sustaining a culture that engages our employees, incenting them to return to work and retain workplace knowledge.
- Conduct routine evaluations/audits of foundational safety programs
- Ensure that business needs are met and programs are sustained and embraced
- Elevate company-wide capability
- Respond to customer inquiries specific to Sustainability current policies and future plans
Requirements:
- Steps up to conflicts, seeing them as opportunities
- Reads situations quickly; good at focused listening
- Can hammer out tough agreements and settle disputes equitably
- Can find common ground and get cooperation with minimum noise
