PLANT MANAGER - REBAR FABRICATION
Location: North Las Vegas, Nevada (on-site)

SUMMARY
Lead a high-volume reinforcing-steel fabrication facility with full responsibility for people, production, safety, quality, cost, inventory, equipment reliability, and customer delivery. This hands-on leadership role requires deep rebar-industry expertise, disciplined operating systems, and the ability to build accountable teams while improving throughput and plant performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Direct all daily operations for a high-volume reinforcing-steel fabrication facility, including cutting, bending, welding, assembly, material staging, and load preparation.
• Lead production planning, scheduling, workflow, equipment utilization, and cutting and drop optimization to meet quality, cost, throughput, and delivery targets.
• Analyze backlog, capacity, labor, material availability, inventory, and customer commitments to make timely operating decisions and maintain on-time delivery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, traceability, cycle counts, physical inventories, warehouse organization, and scrap and remnant controls.
• Improve plant layout, staging, material flow, space utilization, automation, and bottleneck management to increase safe and efficient throughput.
• Ensure fabrication complies with applicable CRSI, ASTM, ACI, customer, drawing, and job-specific quality requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams across multiple shifts while reinforcing accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment readiness to reduce downtime and sustain reliable production.
• Build and enforce a safety-first culture through OSHA compliance, training, audits, hazard correction, and a zero-incident mindset.
• Partner with detailing, sales, project management, logistics, quality, and customer service to resolve issues and protect customer satisfaction.
• Track and communicate KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, downtime, inventory, cost, and on-time delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 15+ years of progressive experience in rebar fabrication, steel manufacturing, or a comparable heavy industrial production environment.
• 15+ years of supervisory or plant-management experience in a reinforcing-steel shop or closely related fabrication operation.
• Deep knowledge of rebar fabrication, bar lists, bending schedules, blueprints, detailing information, and placement diagrams.
• Working knowledge of CRSI, ASTM, and ACI requirements.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-shift teams and improving safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, workflow optimization, root-cause analysis, and capacity planning.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems, barcoding, and digital shop-floor tools; familiarity with Soule or ASA is valuable.
• Practical knowledge of shear lines, bending equipment, automation, cranes, forklifts, and preventive maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, industrial technology, business, or a related field is preferred; extensive progressive plant leadership may substitute.
• OSHA 30, Lean, or Six Sigma credentials are preferred.
