Process Engineer (Part Owner)

Location: Near Jacksonville, Alabama (on-site)
Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 annually
Schedule: Full time

Join an aerospace manufacturing team as the technical owner for a portfolio of precision investment-cast components. You will turn customer requirements into reliable production instructions, coordinate part qualifications, and lead improvements in quality and yield.

What you will do

• Interpret customer material, process, and quality specifications and translate them into controlled manufacturing requirements.
• Own part-specific routers, technical instructions, rework methods, and process documentation.
• Coordinate qualification work, including PPAP, FAI, and APQP deliverables, with production, quality, and customer teams.
• Partner with core, shell, foundry, and downstream operations to resolve part-specific process issues.
• Track scrap, rework, and yield; investigate defects and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support new-product introduction and engineering changes while maintaining approved process controls.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, materials, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in aerospace manufacturing; investment casting, metallurgy, or component qualification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing specifications, heat treatment, nondestructive testing, and structured root-cause analysis.
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects and use data tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Pareto analysis.
• Authorization to work on export-controlled programs, as required for the role.
