We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our dynamic steel fabrication team as a Design & Drafting Associate. Salary: $60,000 - $65,000

Supervision: Reports to a senior engineer or project manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 4 years of drafting and design experience
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office products
• Capable of reviewing and understanding architectural drawings and layouts
• Capable of reviewing and understanding technical specifications
• Proficient in Solidworks and Solidworks PDM (vault storage)
• Ability to generate detailed fabrication drawings of mechanical systems
• Capable of writing technical specifications
• Ability to understand and generate electrical schematics

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and comprehend customer-provided architectural site layout drawings.
• Overlay security equipment, electrical conduits and conductors, and other mechanical systems; and/or generate installation drawings.
• Produce technical documentation (submittals) for customer review and approval.
• Generate detailed shop drawings of equipment.
• Generate equipment supplied list.
• Generate part numbers and bill of materials.
• Revise and update drawings and documentation of products.
