We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our dynamic steel fabrication team as a Design & Drafting Associate. Salary: $60,000 - $65,000
Supervision: Reports to a senior engineer or project manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4 years of drafting and design experience
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products
- Capable of reviewing and understanding architectural drawings and layouts
- Capable of reviewing and understanding technical specifications
- Proficient in Solidworks and Solidworks PDM (vault storage)
- Ability to generate detailed fabrication drawings of mechanical systems
- Capable of writing technical specifications
- Ability to understand and generate electrical schematics
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and comprehend customer-provided architectural site layout drawings.
- Overlay security equipment, electrical conduits and conductors, and other mechanical systems; and/or generate installation drawings.
- Produce technical documentation (submittals) for customer review and approval.
- Generate detailed shop drawings of equipment.
- Generate equipment supplied list.
- Generate part numbers and bill of materials.
- Revise and update drawings and documentation of products.
